Elburn radiator in Elburn Illinois. He can do anything you need. Just had him modify a Model A radiator for a flathead V8. Call Burt 630-365-5800. 1S 1st Street Elburn Illinois.
Just don't tell him to take his time. He also does gas tanks.

Doc Horner. Madison, WI. He's been doing it for more years than I've been around.

  4. Any contact info for Doc?

There is no such thing as a slight leak where the tank meets the core.

I can second Elburn Radiator and second the comment about taking his time but he has always done a good job for me.

Not sure what you mean ? The leak is very slight and it's coming from the area where the tank meets the core.I'm not real smart but what am i missing ?

Sadly, this is a dying art. Radiator shops in St. Louis are hard to find.

You are dealing with about 80 years of corrosion and calcium buildup. To solder any leak will require getting the metal squeaky clean for solder to adhere. You also have a rad that has had numerous heating and cooling cycles that work harden and crack the tanks. What is your car worth?

Thanks, i fully understand the complexities of the repair.I'm just saying in terms of coolant loss the the leak is slight.
Not sure what my car is worth or the relevance of the question, I'm simply trying to get some recommendations on a good radiator repair shop.Do you know of any ? Thanks,Bob
