Does anyone out there really know??? I have a 32 Ford Sport Coupe and am looking for the correct wiper motor. I am getting conflicting info as too the correct wiper motor for this application. Some say the motor is the same as the closed car, the motor with the bracket with two mounting holes (Trico KSL-511) others say Ford used the Model A motor for the Sport Coupe (Trico KSB-134). Thanks.
The motor part number should be B-17508-C. It fits sport coupes and busses. There are 13 different ones for 1932 fords.
You will probably need the picture from the '32 resto book...only real marking is an ink stamp of the Trico number, and the picture will give you at least a chance to recognize one if you trip over it. It is not an exact A part, think it probably is the most common 1932 one that fits sedans and 5 W but would have to look. While you are hunting, most motors of the same general size and vintage could be stuffed in there and produce a sweep similar to what you need.
Goodluck in finding the real answer to your question....You will prolly get sevral answers from a bunch of so called experts......But the truth is unless you talk to someone who was actually there, your only going to get the same answer from everyone who read the same old book that was wrong to begin with......My grandfather was there, He is gone now But he would laugh at alot of old ford production books that were printed several years after the cars were built telling how everything was done and used.....He knew they were wrong because he was there getting his hands dirty.....Not making up shit and printing false history for us many years later
