I loaded up a trashed 39 ford coupe - a tornado took it out in 1953 - A 1953 penny fell out of it.

An old buck knife when I cut out the cabcorner. The GMC emblem that goes in the hood was also behind the seat along with some avaitors from the 80's and a coke can and a baseball bat.

Really sweet black lace panties hidden in the trunk of my Wildcat. I left them in there when I sold it.

  12. I bought a 57 Dodge to part out. After throwing a bunch of parts around in the trunk I noticed a plastic bag hanging out of a pail. I picked up something hanging out of the bag and realized that it was..... a bag full of soggy dynamite! The nitro was dripping out of it when I picked it up. The guy I bought the car from laughed and took it to burn it. He also said he gave away a doghouse one time and had to phone the new owner and tell him to be careful unloading it as there was a case of dynamite hidden inside it.....

  13. I found an ounce of brown sugar in a caddy I bought from a fella once. I called and ask if it was his and he said no it must have belonged to one of his women.

I have found about one of everything over the years. Nothing that I would consider to be of great value, maybe the dope.

I found a spoon in the orginal heater channel of a split window bug. Plenty of roaches in other VW's. I knew I guy that worked at the Fremont Ford manufacturing plant in the 60's. He said they would get high on all kinds of shit while building the cars and stick random crap in the quarter panels to get a laugh. Change, untensils and what not...

While cutting out the lower rear half of the quarterpanels on a '64 Chev Impala, I heard a bang. I noticed there was a significant bulge in the quarter next to where I had been cutting that could not be blamed on heat from cutting. A bit of prying revealed an old box of 12 gauge buck shot shells had fallen between the trunk floor and the quarter. They had been there some time, judging by the patina on the brass. I had managed to ignite one of the shells by cutting halfway through the primer before it went boom. LOL Now I always check for shells. :D

Thos pennys were not zinc, but steel. Also, they were only made in 1943.

    Get your facts straight.

bought back my old Henry J on E-bay- found it exactly how i left it, including my mail under the seat. The neatest was a 53 Studebaker i bought out of Fresno in the 90's. P.O. had blown the motor in high school in 62, and parked it. The trunk was full of his homework, yearbook pics of his girlfriends, magazines receipts, and old McDonalds wrappers, all in good shape, go figure.

I've found asorted change, bottle openers, pens & pencils. a bunch of old condom wrappers in the back seat of a 66 t-bird I had, guess the P.O. got some serious action in it. and a cool S-K 3/8" socket wrench found between chrome trunk panel trim and trunk in my 65 pontiac. had to have been left in there from the factory.

One intriguing car find I heard about was a 1948 Chrysler New Yorker sedan. It was stored in a parking garage in a southern city since the fifties. The owner died of old age in the nineties and stopped paying the monthly parking bill. The car was eventually disposed of as part of his estate.

The new owner found in the trunk an old suitcase. It contained a couple of tropical weight suits, dress shirts, hand painted ties, a pair of 2 tone shoes, a bottle of Cuban rum and a money clip with a thick wad of $10 bills. All dating to the early fifties.

Guess someone was planning on a quick getaway but never needed it.
