My neighbor lady that I thought hated me , stops by with a bunch of "little" books and old pictures from the 50's this morning . Says they were her Dad and Uncle's and seeing my cars brought back memories and she wanted me to have them . Here's a few of the pictures , some of the drags are hand written San Fernando and Bakersfield on the back . That deuce 3 window is dated 59 and hand written "School parking lot , Olds powered " Most of them or maybe all are between 57 and 61 or so I guess , lots of them dated on the film , handwritten or from looking close at the pix . There's probably 200 of them . That blown T pulled by the Ranchero was her Uncle's and the 32 5 window (at Bonneville)was her Dad's . I guess sometimes when you think people are giving you the stink eye , give them the benefit of the doubt . She said she has lots more that she's keeping . I wonder where that 5 window is stashed ! Did I mention I wish I was born about 30 years earlier , so I could have been there too .

Those are super cool. You need to do the lady a few favors. Clean her gutters or something.

Whoa! I'll echo what others have been saying: scan some more!
I mean, have them professionally scanned and backed up to a CD! Those look like some awesome pictures you've got there.

I'd say you should talk to her some more, get more background info. Is her Dad or Uncle still with us? It's priceless to get some info to link to the pictures before it's lost.

I'm glad you guys are as stoked on them as I am ! Her Dad and Uncle have passed on , my buddy bought her Dad's house from him before he got sick , she lives next door to him around the corner from me . I was just thinking them guys used to build them almost as "correct" as now a days ! Ha Ha .

how cool is that? you lucky bastard!
  19. Wish i had a neighbor that was that cool. Was a very nice person to give that neat old stuff to someone who really cares about it instead of a nephew or niece who would just throw them in the trash!

I thought that might be Norm Grabowskis T , there's a couple shots of it . Sorry bout' my blurry pictures of pictures , I was stoked and wanted to show everybody , I'll get them on a disc asap. I like the probably brand new 59 Impala conv. pushing the 33 Willy's , twin engine Triumph and Kurtiskraft roadster next to the Isky "Clown" and how 3 windows , Hemi's and quickchanges used to grow on trees ! I'm going to wait a couple days , go Thank her again and show her this thread on the HAMB , so hopefully she KNOWS the appreciation and respect we all have .
