I have a 55 Ford I am building now that's called "The Money Bucket" .
I will be starting my 1950 Ford gasser build the end of the summer or next winter . I have a 1970 Ford 429 that I will build with a 4 speed top loader with a in-line Verti-gate shifter and 4.88 rear . The gasser will be called "Loose Change" and will have some coins air brushed by the name . It will be a fun build that I have waited almost 40 years to build !
In the 70's a few friends had some good names for their cars . One was a 360 Duster that was yellow that he called "The Hot Banana" with a painted banana on the quarter panels . Another had a 69 Chevy II called "Down-N-Dirty" . I had a 1969 Dodge Super Bee called "The Sting" . There were many others but I have forgotten many over the years .

Rene, thanks for the PM. Never knew about this car. Two Morris drag cars in Canberra, wonder if they ever lined up together? Would be great to see if this still existed!

Raced with a guy who's monza was called Habitual Offender. Name came from a traffic court judge who told him he was a habitual offender who would eventually end up in prison or dead from the way he drives.
Not a car name but saw a funny car that said on the back of it "It was fine when it left the line".

In the late 60s early 70s there was a light blue '66 Buick Special prowling the streets of Milwaukee. It was named the Assasin. I always suspected it was a former strip car.It had an evil rake with the largest tires that would fit in the rear fenderwells. The ladder bars went clear up to the transmission crosmember. The underside of the car was painted flat white. One of those teardrop hood scoops was molded in.

Been thinking about what to name the OT '66 Galaxie 500 drag car I've been working on when it's done. I'm sure it won't be the fastest car out there, but I plan to have some fun with it. FE 390 +0.040, monster cam, forged alum flats, worked heads, and a Garrett GTP38 pushing 20lbs through a modified Holley 750 double pumper. Thinking about naming it "Gal Gone Wild" or "Warp Speed(/Drive)"... Whadday'all think?

At Baylands Raceway, Saw a gasser that was named "PIST-N-BROKE". In Sacramento there was a team who had a bone stock Crosley Wagon. The driver would suit up in a vintage top fuel fire suit, Gloves, Boots, Double filter mask the whole thing. It would turn in the 30 second range. The name " OXYMORON RACING".
