Loving that red 33-34 roadster! Thank you for sharing!
Very cool. Thanks!
Looks like a great show.
Is it true, Naugatuck is the Indian word meaning "Not Waterbury"?
Never heard that one.
Some Great stuff, Thanks.
Thanks, will take a few more shots today.
Was there yesterday!
Nice show! great to see and talk to everybody!
I talked with the owner of the 34 roadster. He has owned it since 1962. He bought it as a worn out drag car in '62 !!!!!
He bought it from the guy with the 32 roadster parked next to him. Both these guys looked to be in their late 70's.
Nah, just slang for 'old school' upholstry job.
Actually Naugahyde was invented in Naugatuck by what was then U.S.Royal now Uniroyal.
They were one of a number of companies in the Naugatuck river valley. They helped to make the Naugatuck river glow at night do to the chemicals they were discharging into the river.
Looked pretty cool as you rode along RT 8 in the dark.
They have since cleaned up the river!
This is the same 34 and owner back in the day. Then
Thanks for posting! We had a good time at the show! Here is our landspeed car at Bonneville...powered by a supercharged Ardun. Our son Ron, Jr has the record at 225.003 mph
Congrats on the record !
Kinda hard to tell from the photo but that is THREE carbs. You can see the three fuel lines going to them.
