I LOVE THIS CAR! Do you have a pic of the throttle with the trans tunnel installed?

I'm at the point on my Falcon gasser where i need to build the cage, firewall is missing most of the center, and i need to plan on filling what's missing on the firewall, or cutting it out completely for a flat one, then i need to do a tunnel and gas pedal

I'd love a removeable tunnel but dont think i can pull it off on a no budget build with such a tiny car- already, the rear of the driver's cyl head is where i'd rest my foot on the throttle, so any bell/tunnel/wheelbarrow is gonna shrink me back farther.

Kick as Kev. Looking forward to seeing it (and you) in Ventura. That pic of you in the car smiling speaks volumes. Too cool.

  10. I got the clutch, scattershield, tranny, driveshaft etc back in the car and fabbed up an adjustable stop behind the clutch fork. Took it for another test drive and it shifts great! With those 4.88 gears it really jumps. No real launches or anything yet, still having carb flooding issues and there are a few leaks to take care of. Needs a rear tranny seal bad. Timing is not dialed in yet etc, etc. I am confident I will be able to drive it to the Ventura nat's.

Call me the breeze....Front wheels are Halibrand, rear are Ansen.

69 fury.... here is the gas pedal linkage....

Geez that's a really nice looking pedal assembly Kev. What are all the itty bitty screws, in a circular pattern, located in the center of the batwing for? Is that a bearing mounted in there? Man oh man, I have linkage envy. Nice finish on it too.

  13. Yes there is a bearing in there. It was some kind of aviation bellcrank and I made a new arm, I only used the bearing.

Hey Kevin, I dig the carbs, but I suggest making plans for the blower and injector and doing it quick! No time like the present! Congrats on getting the clutch figured out, can't wait to see your next update-

  16. I don't think I will be driving it to the Ventura Nat's after all. This weekend is the last chance I will have to work on it and there are too many issues. Got to test drive it some more this morning and the engine is blowing alot of smoke. I think all the carb issues have washed the rings out and it has low compression. I can build cars and get them running but I can't tune them for shit! I have to leave the show early to get home and set up for my BBQ and I don't want to drive through the crowd looking like a mosquito contol vehicle. I will leave the deadlines for the TV show guys.

Kev, Sorry to hear the Willys won't be at the show. Sounds like the normal too much to do and not enough time/days to get it done in. Looking forward to when you get it all sorted out.
