Technical mystery valance

    i recently acquired a small pile of 40's ford parts and in the pile is this weird lower valance. or at least i think thats what it is. its 3 piece and the center is aluminum. which is odd as most valences are single piece and all steel.

    looks like gravel shield between bumper and body. I've seen them steel and alum, one piece and multiple

    Its a rear valance for a 1947 - 1948 Ford, it fits all models except Sportsman.

    oh ok thanks! cuz i had a 46 last year and it didnt look anything like that.
