A Metropolitan is Uni-body without any frame and having had a 55 the rag tops were flimsy as all get out. Park at a bit of an angle and you either couldn't get the door to open or close. I'd say it came from that era when a lot of guys thought they could build their own sports car body out of fiberglass and few had the greatest design talent.
I agree, they're ALL ugly. But you're 18, it's prom night, you have a choice of these cars to take this really pretty girl to the dance. Which will it be? Remember...I'm drinking a Pepsi [emoji38] Sent from my SM-S205DL using Tapatalk
Coyote Ugly is if she was sleeping on your arm, you did't want to wake her, so you chewed your arm off.
So... MO54; are you the newest proud owner ready to do a "saved it" HAMB thread, then proudly show it off at all the next HAMB meets... ? . Marcus...
Now watch, it's probably based on a Crosley and the engine has all kinds of Braje parts (or a DOHC conversion), or it has a Chevy 4 with an Ansen head, OR a supercharged Offy 270 under the hood!
Never thought I'd live long enough to see a Frisky and a Bond Bug in the same post on the HAMB... (and no, I didn't have to look either of them up)
I'm surprised its still up. I posted a photo of a shorted VW bus on another tread about shortened cars and a mod deleted it since it was a VW. Maybe the posted photos are OK cause they help to ID the car in the OP. No biggie, just wondering.

I dunno about you people but that is an AMC Concorde in the background (behind the mystery car) and if it's the same as the AMC Eagle wagon I used to own (Eagle was basically a 4wd Concorde) those front seats leaned back until they were completely horizontal. I'll take a pass on the odd little roadster and happily take the AMC to prom thanks
I didn’t buy it. Wouldn’t. I think it’s based on a Crosley. (Image the power of that 44 cu in engine.).
