Sorry to hijack the thread also, but the reason my roadster even exsists is because the engine in my V8 S10 truck needed an overhaul.

I should also say that Larry's (Blue_One) build thread showed me how to build the front end for this car. I bounced a few questions off of him and he was more than gracious with information!

Thanks Kip! Hope it's nice enough to park on the opposite side of a car show from your '36!

    Thanks Trent and Jeremy!

Well there's nothing glamorous to share today but every step forward is progress. I spent a good part of the day cleaning the inside of the axle tubes as well as the differential. Tubes and center section were pretty grungy and took forever to clean. It was like cleaning a filthy 2" shotgun. Twice. I used a piece of 1/2 EMT with solvent soaked rags zip tied on the end. Worked pretty well but took a lot of effort.

I scraped, wire brushed and solvent bathed the outside portion of the rear differential and got it cleaned up pretty good. Still need to do more work on it in preparation for paint.

I said earlier that Bob had the body work on the rear wrapped up, but I was wrong. He's finishing up the deck lid and the fit is amazing, but he wants to do a little more before starting on the doors. The drivers door should fit fine, the passenger door is going to need a lot of work.

....well, the app is acting up again and I can't post pics. Will try later.

    Pics... maybe.

Done cleaning and blocked off holes to keep dust out.

    Finishing up the deck lid.

Diff scraped and cleaned. Pulled yoke and seal when done, checked bearings and they're in good shape.

Now a quick question. Looking for a set of front wheel cylinders, 2766 and 2767. They're stepped. I think they're '41-ish. Any recommendations for quality parts? I looked at Bob Drake a while back and they didn't have them.

Stopped by Bob's last night to take pictures of... nah, not going to steal Timmy's thunder.

Anyway, how are these for trunk gaps? Of course the edges need to be finished, but hoping for primer next week.

I sure hope the doors --especially the passenger side-- fit this well!
