@t-rod That's why I live here! Do you know about the informal cruise Saturday? I'll be up but don't know how much of it I'll make. Open house at Biran Thomas' Friday night too.

Must be informal enough I hadn't known about it. When are you headed this way?

Thanks Jeremy! Was a real fun day with some great people. I'll introduce you to them at next Speed Week.

I picked up probably the single most untraditional part for the T today, and I don't care. It will make the car so much more enjoyable to drive that it's worth it ten fold, and nobody will see it anyway. The ubiquitous 2004R is complete and ready to install!

I was short on time this evening and driving my daughter's car so I picked it up and set it on her back seat and delivered it to Bob's. As promised, the body work is under way.

You may recall the firewall being mostly done and the cowl having had some work previously. Bob has finished roughing in the cowl and is moving rearward.

And a picture of the 200 on the floor just cuz.

And the chassis staying warm just cuz.

Hard to beat a great day with friends and hot rods Eric.
Don't even sweat it on the transmission, I'm going with my C4 because it's small tough and hard to beat. Also fits the Y Block nicely.
And with my old frame, (mine not the RPU's ;)) easy and enjoyable to drive makes all the difference :D
I'll be pushing on trying to catch up :D

Thank Larry! I didn't think anyone would sweat my overdrive, but the car is for the wife and the 200 will make a MUCH more enjoyable car to drive than the PowerGlide. Hmmm... maybe that PG will make a good urinal for my new shop? LOL

I know what you mean. I sold my A Tudor figuring I'd have another on the road in a few months and have been without a reliable driver ever since. That was five years ago.

Bought this cool oil filter for the T at a swap meet last weekend.

Stopped by Bob's today and I'm happy to report more progress. Gentlemen, we have guide coat.

The area in front of the wheel well has some oil canning. Bob will shrink and fix it Monday.

    More progress shots next weekend.

You may see that sooner than expected. Ya know when I made that "executive decision" to swap the PG for the 200? I never took into account the difference in circumference where the torque converter lives. Whoops.

So this weekend (after SEMA) I'll get back to Bob's and we'll mount the body to check for clearance. Better now than after paint!

Thanks Mark! Bob gets the credit though, I'm just "helping"... which translates to "making more work for Bob."

Didn't go as planned today. One of Bob's neighbors passed away earlier this week so he was at a funeral today.

So I rolled the 283 out of the garage and my Schnoodle helped me clean it to prepare for paint.

Made it to Bob's yesterday but he had other engagements so we didn't get the body mounted. I did get some stainless polishing done though.

Bob has done quite a bit more hammer and follow work and skin coated, shaped and guide coated almost everything. He also shrunk the oil can area mentioned previously, and it's perfect now. Here's some pics.

Hmmm, I don't have permission to post pics to my own thread... Let me try again.
