Well once again thanks to my brother for helping on the Falcon!

Monday night I have one more hose to hook up, the battery to hook up and the oil temp sensor.

Then all that should be left is the starter/driveline.

Here is where it stands now.

    Sweet, love them 2-door Falcons!

  3. And you never will, they were never made - not possible, the spoke are where the lugs would need to be.
4 lugs are pretty rare as well, they don't make them anymore, but oddly enough they do make a SS wheel in 17X7 in a 4 lug 4.75" pattern:eek:

That has got to be the UGLIEST distributor cap I've ever seen! :D I'd convert back to points if my only option was that HEI monstrosity. :D

Wife sure is cute and so is the car. I'm trying to convince a buddy of mine to run 4-lug Cragars on his Mustang II.

I agree but I only have one distributer and it is going in my Falcon and that big huge monstrosity was dirt cheap so it is in for now.

I knew when I pulled it out of the box I would see this post.

Ideally I want to get another distributer and maybe a pertronix kit to convert it over like I did to the one on my old caddy 472. That thing gave me years of trouble free service.

I'll trade you a fresh distributor with a new Pertronix for those Cragars. Seriously, I have it sitting on my shelf ready to go...

They are both beautiful! Dig those Cragers too... No five spoke-four lug "Crager S/S" wheels were ever made by Crager that I'm aware of.

oh man! hit a milestone tonight!!! We got the car started and it runs strong! but first a funny story.

We had to find a 12v wire to run to the HEI that was no power with key off and 12v with the key in the on position. we found it and decided to try and start it up....it turned over great but nothing and then when i would let off the key it would kick like it wanted to start. It did that twice. so we checked the power in the starting position. NOTHING. so we found the right place to tie in and BAM it fired right up and sounded great with the straight headers.

It is charging, and has 55 pounds of oil pressure at idle. We found a water leak we need to fix (thermostat area) and a small fuel leak which is already fixed.

This week we have to fix the water leak and put in the shifter and it should be good to go.

It was a rush to here it fire up!!! And it is quite responsive to the throttle to!

It's alive! We got The Falcon started up and backed it into the alley and back into the garage. It is so close to being done!!!

I was shocked. Today as you can see in the video it starts up QUICK.

I'm typically a Chevy guy, but I always thought those earlier Falcons were bad ass little cars. They're cheap, and always look good with a little customizing.

I saw a '63 for sale with gold metal flake paint, matching interior, pinstripping(just the right amount). Clean car.

    No pictures tho:rolleyes:

My wifes Falcon is now out of the shop and sitting out front. I am going to rinse off the dust here in a bit and first thing in the morning she goes in for new exhaust!
