My sons First car build by himself

    My son just took 2nd place in state for this mailbox he built me out of 1/8in plate. I'm so stoked I can't waite to put it up. Look at the pics and tell me what you think. Be easy guys this is his first year in welding class. We are building his 51 shoebox now for him to drive next year to high school.

  5. I have a bunch of stuff my son made when he was little in my shop. He now is a Journeyman Metal Fabricator . Your son is on his way!

    Nice! And I dig the way he "hid" the flag in the window...makes me want to build a cool mailbox...go to the Post Office, get it approved and put that sucker out front!...

    Thanks guys. I 'm going to put it on a steel post. He is going to build another one for my brother. I think he's on to something, he might build them and sell them at the swap meets....
