Man this thing is coming out sweet! I have a spare A frame hanging around... I know where a couple fenders and a hood are... Hmmm. Got me thinking!

 

got it running , stopping and steering. I haven't driven it yet though, maybe tomorrow.

I've seen a million pics of the Hilborn streamliner but I've never seen that one. Do have any more information on it. Looks like it may be later in the cars history. You always have the best pics Stogy. Thanks for the inspiration!

Koolkat don't know much about the pic other than yes it's quite an iconic machine in the era we love. It was a real looker. The picture is priceless. The car in that pic reminded me of your inspiring build even though they were in different arena of the sport. You must be very excited to be near the finish line. So are we...

That has got to have sent you back to another time long ago...hotrodder Koolkat. We can't go back in time but throw in period car and country. Sketchy... yes that was what more modern racing evolved from...happy for you.

 

I wish I could see it on the sand in person @ Wildwood. One of the coolest builds! Congrats on seeing it finish! Now go tear up that beach!

Yeah my brother hooked me up with a Buco leather helmet and goggles . Can't race wearing them needs to be a "real helmet" but I'll probably wear it for fun.

We had everything lined up to come up and watch you and Pete race. Necro and I were going to drive all night on Friday to get up there for Saturday. But alas it never fails that something comes up at the last minute. So I guess we will have to wait til the next one. Maybe I can throw something together for next year. Good luck and that little racer is quite possibly the coolest thing that will be on the beach!

I'd bet real money that a certain young man will race that machine on the beach but come home with an empty trailer and a pocket full of cash and you'll see that beast at Pismo too flying different colors. Just sayin.....

Wish I could but I'll be working all weekend. The railroad is a cruel mistress.
