That's pretty awesome! I'm surprised plymouths haven't caught on as Kustoms more than they have. My buddy in LA has a 49 business coupe he's building thats pretty cool with I think a 340.

We have a two car garage and a one car garage. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1393251141.499821.jpg
Downstairs workshop with outdoor access. It's funny we went from 1200sq feet in Los Angeles to 2800 sq feet not including the guest suite above the garage.

The wife's 51 Chevy is next. I'm fine cruising mine the way it is for a while. I do plan to drive Tyler's Henry J this spring and summer. He always asks to take his car so I have to put a seatbelt in to have the car seat. I do need to put down gravel to the one car garage and it's not on a concrete slab so it is what it is. I want to 4 link or truck trailing arm her car. She doesn't want it chopped and it's her car so she's the boss.

Also I went to get the chevy and Henry J out of storage and they were snowed in. The owner is having the guy that plowed us it dig us out and we'll try again this weekend.

It's nice. I parked the shoebox like I did when working on it in Cali and had room for my tool boxes and a engine and still be able to walk in front of car and get things out of trunk without opening the door.

I use to have a two car garage in LA that had my tools on one side and the other my wife's car. The city fined me for working on my car in the driveway. So I had to get her car runnin and driving to put mine in to work on it. At this house I have decided that my wife deserves to park her car in the garage and not scrape windows in the morning. The one car will have to do till I can save up to build the new shop! A hudson is on my bucket list of cars I want!

Thanks Buddy it's a long time coming! It's part of not living in LA anymore having property, a large house and top public schools in the country. This move was my wife's dream but having been in North Jersey for 3 months I like it a lot too. I use to talk crap about Jersey but its beautiful here the people are blunt but very nice. In LA its hard to find real people here it's hard to not find them. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1393333948.542636.jpg

I grew up on a street like that but when I was a teenager they put sewage drains in, heck it was gravel until they paved it lol in the 80s

Yea I live in a historic district so all my cars must be tagged luckily enough all my tags have the same bolt pattern and they never check lol I have some pretty cool neighbors so it's not a big deal here I grew up with a neighbor like yours and it was horrible. Congrats on everything looking forward to more progress pics

    Thanks
    Thank you sir!

So my son started school yesterday and wife was out of town today. It's 8 degrees out so let's bust out the shoebox! When I came out all the parents were posing their kids in front of it taking pictures.

Hopefully I'll be picking my son up in his 53 Henry J this summer. It runs and drives now with its stock flathead 4 but I might stick a 302 in it. I might just leave it and piss the chevy guys off by sticking it in my wife's 51 Chevy!

The guy who's been shoveling the three car wide driveway by hand for the last 15 yrs :)
Headed down south for some warm weather!!
Congrats on the move. My son loves showing up in my car but my 14 yr old daughter gets embarrassed when she comes out the door and I hit the switches and I lay it out.

It took me 3 days to chisel our driveway. The guy didn't shovel after the offer was accepted and it rained and snowed a few times at we were left with 4" of ice. I couldn't get into the garage because of it. But it's still better than before.

I'll be hitting switches in the wife 's 51 when I bring it home from storage and wire it up.

Thanks. I have had fun building it. There's going to be a phase II. I plan to fix a few things and flake the roof and paint the bottom midnight blue metallic. I want the car to shine! I have been debating on doing a merc surround with Allstate grille bars or the meteor grille I have. I saw a shoebox in Detroit about 1993 or 1994 when I went home on leave that had a 51 merc surround instead of the 49-50. I really liked how it looked but can't seem to find the pictures I took of it. They made it so you could unbolt it instead of making it a one piece front end. Playing with the idea in my head a little.

It's 55 degrees out in North Jersey so not better time than to give the shoebox it's first car wash since it got painted. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1394563760.199777.jpg
