I have worked with the left side of the side windows her's a pic of the inside without the rails Her have i fit the sax lift but i have to change the slider to one with longer sides in the front
I have fit the lift unit on rigIht side I have bought a power window kit for plane glass But i must shorten it Happy new year /Stefan
I have begin to the doors I have cut down the edge on the door and taken away the old support profile and the old window slider in the rear end The support will be repaced of new one like behind the doors I have lengthen the hole becorse the vent window will be shorter I have shorten the window lifters approx. 200mm [8"] so they will fit better I think of rond the corners in the rear end of the side windows should i do it or not?? I belve i must higher the the top edge of the door in the front end ?? Happy new year from a cold Sweden /Stefan
rounding the edge of the quarter window area would give it a more permanent look.. the straight corner gives it a bit of a carson top look... ??? dunno would have to make a piece and tack it on there to see what it looks like.. I think rounded edges would compliment the car more
just wanted to check out different ideas i just got my 50 model sedan back from dad i dont know if i will go this far but love the work
Thanks for your coments I have worked little on the new year I have put in new supports on the door edge her's the support before it put in place Right side in place and left side next thing will be to put lifters and guide rails to the side windows /Stefan
I'd be leaning the A pillars back a small amount. Yes to vent windows in the doors.Losing curve at the rear of the quarter glass is good. Even Ford did that with the '51 Vic.
this is gotta be by FAR the hardest way to chop a car ive ever seen, more power to you, but jesus christ.
I like the nice sharp look on the rear of the side windows. Goes well with the rest of the clean lines.
Looking really nice Stefan! I'd like to see the sharp corners remain at the side windows. Gives it a concept look consistent with the direction that Detroit went towards in the mid-1950's.
Thanks for all the coments I were out in shop today but it were not much made I begin to make beems to put in the doors for atiching the lifters /Stefan
I agree, I like the look of the sharp cornors. Here is an example that I think looks great... (I got these off the HAMB a while back, it is the Sam Foose 50)
Thanks for your coments I have weld in the new profiles in the doors Her is the lifter put in for test I have to take a way the pressing and made the inside flat behind the lifter /Stefan
I have begin on the front of the doors I is checking the design of the vent windows Her if i move the vent window back I will fill up a the A-pillar a bit What will be best to have a the vent window little longer or shall i have it shorter?? Shall i round of the front corner?? /Stefan
I have put in the beems on behind the rear seat I tested my volvo 140 rear seat but it didn't fit It were to small and it is not necesesary to have cutouts for the rear wheels housing I belive it hade fitt better before i moved the rear window forward
Thanks for your coments I have fit the trunklid better It's to short in the lower edge I welded in little sheet in the lower edge an gringed in the edge for good fit Her come some pic of the shape of the trunk lid before i started of rust repair It were not good the the 1951 trunklid /Stefan
Great work Stefan- I really enjoy this thread. Do you have more before and after pics of the floor work that you did to the shoebox? Thanks.
