After some welding it were time for grinding of the new weld in the backend of the rearwindow frame

the gap betwine the plates were little to big for easy welding and grinding so i have to fill it with weld

next thing will be to put on the roof on the frames
I hope you want to see how i will do that.
I seams not be more done on the until thursday after my job
I have begin to think of the rear power windows and i have back door window lifters from a Volvo 850 that i will modifi to work on the shoebox.
    Thanks for your comnts

    Lookin great!!

  8. The only problem I can imagine is that the Volvo will have curved side glass and the window lifter will make a curve as it goes up. Or do you plan to remake the lifters?

    Great build BTW!

There is no problems with that volvo have curved glas the sax lifter lift stright up and not moving side ways
i will not remake the lifter expt i have to grind litle in the end stopper for little higher lift

    The roof skin is off

I cut up my roof skin in peices have it sand blasted and grund painted

I have cut out 100mm [4"] right over the roof for made it shorter
must i weld it together. I have a extra front mid part that is little bigger than the original part

I have put up the roof skin for test.

I will fillut the middle of the roof skin with a 25mm [1"] plate piece so it will be wider

I are thinking to weld it down on the floor like the other welds on the roof skin

Im sure it'll be nice when it's finished, but man that seems like a lot of work!:(

Isn't there an easier way to accomplish what you're trying to do?? I'm just wondering, not putting you down my friend!!!!

    Keep it up though!!:)

It's like you're re-inventing the way to chop.....but it's working, so good for you....I like the energy you guys have in Sweden, it's got to be twice as hard to get American cars to work on, and getting parts etc....I can only imagine......I've seen lots of great cars built over there, and can't wait to see this one on the road.....keep up the good work......
