    Long story short...
It's the first time it's been registered since 83 and moved under it's own power. It still has the Sc registration sticker on the window from 83, and i had the 1983 Sc title when i headed off to the DMV to register it.
Still have stuff to finish up, like the hood and exhaust. I have nothing but the manifolds and head pipes at the moment.
But, it's registered, ins and legal!
Runs GREAT too and even though it's a stock 409 this thing move's good, and i am shocked at how nice it rides and handles with the air suspension!
I've owned a bunch of these thing's and none rode as nice.

Even took my nephew for a cruise around the block with it. He was having a blast, and was laughing his ass off when i started playing with the air ride. It was priceless :)

I started this car about 14-15 months ago doing a full frame off, and am stoked it's actually back on the road. This car will be done the next time i post an update..and it won't be long.
Here are some photo's for those interested.

Thanks, and back to your regular scheduled program.

Tony, that last picture could be california in the late 60's or early 70's.. (if we could only hide some of the cars in the back ground). I am so happy you like the ride of the airride. once you have one done, it will always be in the back of your mind for future projects..

Man what a bad ass car!! Today we were driving around in Boerne killin time waiting for the pet store to open and I spied a 62 on blocks in someones back yard. Couldnt tell if it was 2 or 4 door though. One of my favorites for sure....

If it was a 2 door i probably already would have :).. lol I dig 66's too, had a 66 SS years ago.
This car was about in the same shape your old 63 is in when i started it, and when this is finished up, that ones next. I will make sure to send some photo's so you and your pop's can see the old girl come back together.

Thanks everyone, i appreciate the kind words.

Dude i wish you were there to see him! He was laughing so hard! hahaha I LOVE it!

    Thanks fella's!
Here's a couple shots showing what i started with. There are other threads that show how bad the car was...It was VERY deceiving and was a lot worse once i got the paint off. The floor pans were just set in there in these pics.

Hopefully that pic will be one he always remembers and will be the reason he will grow up to appreciate traditional style lows and want a 62 himself....

Hahaha...I shoulda slid just a bit lower in the seat though. My nephew had the look down in spades! :D

Thats what i'm hoping to do....only i'm truly hoping my dad will drive it more than me. At least until i get my 63 done that is. That will be his car, just like the one he bought new 'cept the one i have now is an original 409, then i can take back the 62 :)

    Thanks again guy's!
