I use a monopod. My camera has a flip screen and I can tilt it down. I use the timer feature so I don't need a remote to take the pictures. I was told about 5 times during the autorama that I was cheating!:D Here is a picture of me using it at a OT drag race a couple of summers ago.

Great pics Mattbee! Also, were you at Milan Dragway's Nostaglia and Great Lakes Gassers event this past September? Saw somebody in the pits with a camera mounted on a monopod.

I had a chance to finally see your car in the flesh...such a beautiful car. I wanted to chit chat a bit with you but everytime I came by you had a couple people lined up to talk to you about the car.

  11. thanks for the great photos, that monopod really does get a nice perspective; you get to see so much more from that view than just an eye-level shot. You've got a good eye for subject material as well. About how many cars are in the basement?

  12. Great group of pics Matt !!!
    Thanks for posting.\\

Great aerial shots ! The thing I like about show coverage is you get to see the cars from all angles that you might not necessarily see. Some may call the very high monopod cheating, I call it brilliant.

WOW, great job and thanks for posting, some VERY nice rides there.

  15. Man, these basement shots are what all car shows should be like. Looks like folks having a good time around old cars. Blows away the upstairs stuff I have seen posted.

I dig the monopod idea as well!

No, but it was built along side Cotton's T by Bob Knnack with Cotton's help. The Ardun has been recently added by it's present owner. Love the space frame....it goes through the interior too.

Thanks for the shots taken of the T during the calendar shoot... that monopod sure allowed you the be above the crowd... I re-posted them... It was a pleasure meeting you and placing a face with your build which I've been following, Thom

  22. I was thinking......I bet he gets kinda tired carrying a ladder around to get those high up shots.............:D
