My newest project !! 1927 Model T coupe

    Well I got my 1927 Model T coupe last sunday , chopped the top monday night . Going to be a kool traditional lil' rod !!! I'm just glad to finally get one !!! Here is the first px. of many to come . 8" out of the back and 9 1/2" out of the front .It will be running a iron duke 4 cyl. with 350 turbo trans. and 9" ford rear . model a axle up front , and spokes all the way around ... I will post pix. of the progress along the way .

    Seems like that motor and lightweight car would be a blast to drive with a 4 or 5 speed stick? Just wondering why the A/T?


    Since you chopped it the next day after getting it...are you going to have it driving by the weekend :)

    I hope you are short. Mine is chopped 8 inches in the front and it takes a lot to see everything going on.........still want to see more pics

    You chopped it in one day? How'd that work out? is everything finished and lined back up or is it just tacked back?

    Top is just tacked up ,and in place . I'm 6 ' tall, so i'm going to have the seat pushed back a little :D !!! The motor and tranny is already together . It should be light , that is for sure .

    That's cool... man cause it took me a couple weeks to get mine back together.... having to split the door tops to get them to line back up was a butt kicker!!!! :D

    The chop on this T was gravy !!! The two 46 chevy truck cabs i did were not so easy :rolleyes: I chopped my model A sedan last summer and had it back together in one day . So i'm behind !!!! lol ..... Will post more pix soon .

    Like the chop!! sounds cool, I would ditch the auto trans as well...but hey its your car...good luck!

    I got my frame rails almost done ,,, 5 1/2" Z in the rear . Will be using 1/4 eliptical springs front and rear . Old school sprint car setup !! Will post more pix. as get i get more done . I have been trying to get the body done too.

    Save the leftover pieces from the chop, just in case you get claustrophobic.
    BTW, I LOVE Model T coupes.:cool:

    Here is the 4 banger !! 153 Chevy postal motor , bored out , new rings, pistons ,cam , 2 barrel holley . Sweet lil motor for my T . 350 turbo w/ shift kit .

    The motor was in a barn for the last 12 yrs. and fired right up !!

    Started repainting the motor tonight , and Wow ,this thing looks like brand new inside !!! Poly locks ,new valves and springs and all !!! Well I got my new door skins from Howell today . Nice !!!! Got alot to work on this weekend !! I will post pix sunday night !!

    Don't want to do what everyone else does . (with V8 ) Got to be different . Working on body work now . Should have my rear wheel adapters tommorow .
