Glad to hear that, I'm sure you would have regretted that. Remember that the HAMB cut off date is 1965, so if you do put something newer in it, don't say anything about it! That will be much more enjoyable to drive if you keep the engine smaller and light weight!
Except for the 215 BOP set, none were feather weights. = heavy up front. Engine setback helps, how much do you have to work with? A lot of the spls did just that to compensate for the available mass(es) of Detroits' "wonder metal(cast iron)". You could approximate it using a tape measure, & some sandbags/other weights, + scales on all 4 wheels. Kinda depends on where you want to go &/or end up at. No matter what, I think you'll have an exciting ride. . If it matters, as long as it looks like it was dragged/revived outa '65/older, very few will give you crap over it.

1) Cut floors out in back half of the car
2) Ordered the 265 hp 350, 4 bolt from Jegs for 1785 on sale! (2100 delivered with balancer, oil adaptor, and gaskets).
Can't beat the deal! Can't get a tired 350 redone for that price and that hp.
3) Picked up a New Venture NV3500 (1993–1998 Chevrolet & GMC CK with 4.3 liter V6 and 5.0 liter V8 and 5.7 liter V8, 5 speed OD) for 150.00 from a great guy, out in Franklin, NJ, doing a 4.3 swap!
4) Ordered a new pressure plate and clutch and throwout (175). I figured it would be easier than taking old flywheel (which he gave me with the slave and the clutch) and having it cut.
5) Currently looking for a Winters Quick-Change on FB. Want to put the Grand National Brake setup on each side Ford lug pattern
6) Once I separate the body from the frame ( have taken out, literally, 25 pounds of rot so far) I will pull apart A- arms, and assess disc conversion needs and costs.

Don! Sorry, been crazy by me. Haven't touched the car. In fact, sadly, things are piling up on that long ass hood in the garage. I am in the Feb/March NE Winter lockdown!
It is a 49 Ford Shoebox frame , which, from what I understand, is what was recommended at the time by Victress. The frame has a big hole just under the driver seat and once I get all the panels off and the frame bare and rolling separate from the body, I will assess what I can and will do with all of it.
Had car up on Ebay over the last week. got discouraged with winter. Got a few really low ball offers and then decided to keep it. Documenting all events. Summer is coming and so is the will.
After all that excitement and wait for the delivery, you were ready to sell it so soon? I think you waited for the arrival longer than you had it in your possession.
Working on old cars is a long process. You need to develop some patience.

I think this is the feel that is coming into view for me. I already cut the rear of the driver's side upper rear quarter off with a sawzall and much of the original lines and body are still there. I have also found images of the original body molds and will lay out and plank a block to dress with fiberglass cloth as the buck. Still for aslem, but I am digging in and starting to like it.
