Folks like you weren't the problem, I can't imagine that anyone would have a problem with legitimate use of the mobility scooters. The giveaway to the problem was that there were people standing in long lines to rent a cart....I mean if you need the carts how is it that you can stand in line for 30-45 minutes to get one. I don't know the answer for NSRA but one needs to be found. I had to step back several times to avoid people turned around backwards talking and still driving their cart, or thread my way through a pack of them parked at a vendor's booth while their owners walked around in the booth.

This is a long shot but did anyone happen to get a phone number from what might be a "For Sale" sign on the windshield of the '40 for pickup (maroon & primer) in post #42? I suppose it was in the swap meet area but I didn't see it in my walk through.

This was our 43rd year in a row attending the nats. Always enjoyed it more when it moved to different cities each year. We seen a lot of old friends and made some new ones. Registration went smoothly . We always register for next years event at registration. This year we didn't. Spent about an hour and 20 minutes getting from registration to the front gate . There was no one directing traffic . I guess that part of the event doesn't make them any money. Never did like the idea of the 30 year rule . Then I see a motor home inside the fair grounds as a registered participant W.T.F. sorry for the bitching. You all enjoy the rest of your summer. 20190802_084118.jpg

  11. Thanks again for the great pics!
1-1/2 hours to get from Cardinal to the gate is inexcusable, especially since you drive by an entry gate right there on Crittenden! C'mon, Vernon/NSRA!!
Guess it won't ever change, they already have your $$.
That GM motorhome had me asking the same thing: WTF!
Yeah, they're kinda neat in their own way, but that's a stretch.
Sorry, rant over. Back to the great pics!

I had wanted to put a car in the Nationals since I first read about it in a magazine in the early '70s. I finally got to do it. Here are some of my pictures.

I looked through my pictures I had one other photo but I couldn't make out the information on the windshield. I tried to enlarge it but I still couldn't make out the information. Maybe some one else will have better luck. 20190802_083734.jpg

  19. When I take a picture of a car for sale at an event, I always try to get a close-up of the info 'cause if I don't someone will surely ask about it.:D;)

40ragtopdown.....Thanks a lot! Here's to hoping that someone was interested enough to take down contact info (if it was indeed for sale) but decided to pass on it. That truck just screams "daily driver"!

So....if someone has any contact info about the truck please send me a PM.

Hey yall , as a long time lurker i thought my very first post could be useful . I took my complaint to the NSRA desk at Louisville after having my foot ran over by one scooter and dodging others inside . I was handed a complaint form and told to send it to the office or basicly it would it would do no good to complain to her at the show. Thanks for the photos . A group of us drove up from central Texas and had a great time . Thats my " moacha?? " colored shaved 40 coupe with the texas flag behind it.

I am so very glad that I am no longer a state rep for NSRA. It could be a great organization if Vern Walker would step aside, and then if they would listen to what the membership wants. I know it’s all money, but they wouldn’t loose that much money, and might gain some if they limited membership to 64 and older cars. Just my opinion, I heard it time and time again when I was a rep

  27. Thanks for all the great pics. I was there for Thursday and Friday and managed to wear myself out both days. There were time when a mobility cart looked pretty attractive buy I managed another Nate without. At 76 it’s getting tougher and tougher. I didn’t take much time to look at the negative side of things....that’s just a huge waste of available daylight.
