    Hello Everyone
I purchased my hot rod last year and love it. I knew when i got it there were somethings i wanted to do. First freshen up the engine and front end. Second is the interior. Going to put an original interior in it to keep the vintage look. Wanted to share some pictures with you.

That's a really nice little Rodney. Those seats can't be very comfortable. Good call on getting rid of them.

After you change the interior, what are you gonna rename it?

Cool rod, good call on removing the seats, they look a little to much like trying too hard to be different.
I guess the home made screen is kind of bomber . The sign writing is a bit over the top. ,well in my opinion anyway.
Nice start to a freshen up and getting to know the car.

i dig it, looks like something a ww2 bomber pilot stationed in the south pacific wouldve made when he came home idk, its definitely PERSONAL, you gotta make it personal to you, bomber seats would be cool, i wouldnt change it too much though, i mean why did you buy THAT car ya know? there are a lot more blank slate hot rods out there if you dont dig the way she looks

I do like the way it looks. There are a couple things I really liked about the car. The vintage drivetrain 1939 flathead and tranny and the way it looked.
I really don’t have many plans for the car maybe more of a refinement is some areas. Interior being one and the front end needed some cosmetic attention.
I want to keep it styled the way it is and improve what is there.
I’ll keep posting updates as a go. Plus I’m sure I’ll have lots of questions.

good start for being your ride - for the interior, and keep the name, might consider a thick piece of bamboo for shift knob - or, thin bamboo inserts on doors or bamboo floor mats - or bamboo wood insert for dash gauge cluster - possibly paint wheels a dark gray or similar color as new interior - have fun

I did a quick mod off the theme which is pretty bold as you found it...That Shield alone smacks you with Aviation without the extras but I thought I would throw up a bold but more subdued approach...I know your working on it and am interested in what your up to...

Oh and a Carson style top might just put it at 30000ft...with a twist of course..
Hamber @Koz has a knack for this type of top which would be no other than riveted aluminum...

My Hotrod has an Aviation Theme and is quite unique in its own way...Yours also really stands alone and that Windshield rocks and quite frankly the whole Kaboodle is cool...

    Congrats and Happy Motoring...;)

Nice car! Really like the how it sets. Like the change that Stogy did though. Door paint just a little too bold for me. Just my opinion though. Again nice car either way!

@Idealclassic does your ride have a top? By the way the aluminum top is removable of course...the top I have is in fact removable albeit I have never run my Sport Coupe without...

    0_20180909_191240.jpg

The Aviation inspired top on The Ole Hotrod is actually very much formed in the shape of an actual Sport Coupe canvas top... @Koz has done tops that are shaped differently but also aluminum...the cool thing about the aluminium top is there was no doubt Aircraft Mechanics after the war that did this type of thing to Hotrods...

I like the aviation theme. If it were mine, I would improve the interior with a nice leather bench seat, but other than that, I love it.

The windshield looks like it minimizes wind turbulence better than any other.
