    Hey rich
What material are you using for interior? Is it vinyl or leather. Did you get it at a craft store?

I had just enough carpet and white vinyl to fab up some swanky floor mats....

    Hey Rich,
Did this ever cause a problem for you in the end? I installed my latches in the same spot as you except I used the small latches. I see the window channel will be close, but I'm no where near installing glass yet...
How did you overcome the issue?

Nope, the track pretty much touches the lock, but all is OK.

Works pretty good, press the remote button and the door pops
    open about a foot.

What did you use to stick the front windshield gasket back together? How about the vent Windows same thing?

You have to be very strategic when you trim the window gaskets.

For the windshield, I cut a V shape toward the bottom of the center channel, minus
    the amount of the chop.

Then I trimmed the bottom left and right pieces at a 45 degree angle to meet this cut.

I glued it all together with black windshield/trim adhesive.
