Thanks a lot for posting you build, its going to help a lot of people. You're doing an excellent job.
fuck that must have taken forever! looks great!
got a few floor patches done and started prepping the fire wall
got a little more sanding done......most of the effort was in the front window channel....have to remove all the rust, treat it with rust preservatives and level it out so there no leaks
patched all the holes in the floor I could find........
a little more work left on the fire wall, then she'll be ready for the epoxy primer.....also got some sanding done.......
listen man.. Im getting really tired of watching you working on your car.. I think its time you drop what your doing and start on mine.. great work keep it up!
got some more sanding done.......
Looks great! Isn't turning all the old paint to dust fun?
Looking good, keep up the great work!
WOW, nice build. Checkout my shoebox project (My avatar).
a little more sanding done.....the last two pictures are for Pinstriper 40....the mound of paint dust is what the sander caught from the rear quarter.....
I like what you did with the door catches, very novel. might have to pinch that idea as they are next on my list for my chevy.
Also really likr the ivory wheels, nice change from hot rod red
You should be happy that you don't have half a bucket of bog (bondo) dust as well!
removed the old rotten lower back panel.....drilled out the spot welds, a little cutting and she came right out.......little more work and she'll be properly fitted....... a little adhesive cleaner to remove the stickers and it's good to go.....panel came from Mac's who got it from EMS
passenger side sanded, 40 grit........
Those are Plymouth wheels
Thanks for the dust pile pics! It sure is nice to get those days behind you, isn't it? Nice progress by the way!
What are your color choices? I was thinking Maroon and ivory for my car... Is yours getting chopped eventually? You make me feel lazy... I'll get my floors done in the next week or two. Great Job so far- Feels good when a project cooks right along!
Looking good keep up the good work
Hope you're proud, 'cause you should be, with all that work!
got back on the tudor.......got the tar and rust off half the inside firewall...getting ready to epoxy primer.......
finished cleaning the inside section of the fire wall ,... the section under the windshield I sprayed with cold galvanized compound. It's loaded with zinc........prevents rust and corrosion.....
nice! its coming alone well!
I'm itchin' for an update...
Excellent! This car is moving right along, congrats and keep up the excellent work!
I LOVE build threads!

Nice work! This post really shows how an old ride can be brought back to life with some dedication and sweat. Thanks for inspiring me!
well it's been a little over a year, 13 months to be exact since I worked on the shoebox.....reason being ,I saw this '49 chevy 3100 I had to have....then I came across this great deal on this '52 IH L110 I couldn't pass up.......well ,the chev was "just throw a motor and trans in and drive,,hahaha....the IH was I'll work on that after I ....you know the drill.....I've been on the chev truck steady for a yr., in between I was on the IH.......
now I'm back on the shoebox, re-prepping the fire wall , both sides, getting ready to epoxy primer it........changed motors...got a 302, roller c-4 combo.......hopefully I can keep my fuckas on the shoebox for awhile......
