Great find, Have,nt seen one of those old school concrete blocks in ages.. Just needs a scrub down. What, there,s a Ford under there.
Man Cory, when you said you'd give me those A headlights for some welding I didn't think you needed this much. .
It's great some 32 parts were able to be salvaged from the wreck. They're getting hard to come by. My old 32 five window was found in a pile beside a fence in a small town in western Iowa...
I am curious as to HOW it was extracted and how much one had to pay to get it once it was extracted ... that had to be some heavy crane work
No.. definitely havent seen it. But i get over to Missoula often, boated the shit outa the Clark Fork, that green looking water is real familiar looking. Cool stuff out there.
I'm one of the guys that pulled that thing outta there it was quite the chore. But after a few hours it was all worth it to see that hangin out the bed of a pickup on the way to town... we found a 33 willys that in great shape today I know there is a few people already in the biddin war for that 1. Well just had to brag about our recent finds happy motoring all...
They were able to push the rock off with a bunch of guys. They mounted a big winch off the 5th wheel in the back of a pickup. 400 feet of rope and they were there. It was in the back of a pickup when I bought it. It was so hard to tell what would be good on it. Lets just say say I bought it thinking I could get almost all my money back by selling the K-member out of it if everything else was junk...
Well, it's going to save one more! Corey and I made a deal on the floor/subrail assembly from his find and I'm going to use it to un-channel my old chopped Tudor. I'm so thrilled - he even found a guy coming to Edmonton who can deliver for a very reasonable price. Can't wait to get it - thanks again Corey! Hey, on another note, if that '33 Willys you unearthed needs some doors, I have a pair for sale with garnishes - let me know and maybe they can ride back down to Spokane! Steve
Glad it is going to help you out Steve. We lucked out on the shipping, that is a little bit of a drive to come down here. Let me know if you want me to throw anything else in the truck
... Congrats! I love it when another Deuce; or parts of one gets saved. Here's a 5 Win I rescued from a prewar junk yard.
So I got the subrails/floor delivered yesterday - thanks Corey (and Pete for bringing them up)! They are going to really help get my channeled Tudor back up on top of the rails where it belongs! Steve
wow you guys have all the luck.. give chris a torch some bubble gum, a vice grip and it will look sick in a weekend ...good luck
