My Fathers fight with cancer is over now.....

Sorry about your Dad. When somebody asks "How much for your truck?", I say "Bill Gates doesn't have enough money to buy that truck but I'll trade it for one more good day with the old man."

 

Sorry. Its a hard thing. I too lost my Dad to cancer. Took him in 6 months at 57 years old.
Sit in his car and cry your eyes out. It may not feel better, but, it will feel closer.

My sincerest condolences to you and your family. It's hard to lose your Dad, no matter how old you are. I lost mine to cancer in 1977 and I still miss him. I still have his old truck and wouldn't part with it for anything.

I've never known my Dad but we lost Pops recently, he was like a Dad to me in many ways.

That is/was tough enough.

Hard to know what you are feeling right now but you'll get through it an be better for having known him.

I was a young guy when I lost my Dad to cancer 43 years ago. It's tough, that cancer got my older brother 3 years ago also. Prayers are sent to you, and all of your family, friends of your Father. Sounds like you were very close that has to make you feel some peace. I'm real sorry for your loss God be with him.

Today is the 5th anniversary of my father's passing and I will miss him forever as I am sure you will your father as well.

 

Sorry about the news. I lost my dad when he was 62 years old and I think about him all the time like you do. That generation was a cut above the rest. Those men and women basically created the life that we take for granted today. When my father passed I stated to my relatives at the after service....I wish I knew the just some of the things my father forgot!! I never looked at it as my father is gone because he is with me every step of the way. Now when something comes up I just look back and ask myself...What would my father do!!!!! I wish you the same.

so sorry...lost my dad in 2000,from emphysema,he hung on a long time with that disease...about 13-15 yrs.it's very hard to watch them slowly fail.i know he was proud of me,as i know your dad was proud of you.

With alot of you also guys. My Dad left us in 01 due to prostate cancer. This is losing the world as you know it but things will and must move on. Things will never relly be rite again. Sorry for your loss and know you are not alone.

My Dad will be gone 10 years tomorrow, I miss him everyday. Just remember the wonderful relationship you had and be thankful for the good times you spent with him, I do that and it surely helps!
