Ok, this story begins as my personal bodyguard/ big Cornhusker farm boy/ and all around pal "gasserlouie" (Larry) from Lincoln Nebraska invited me to go to the Greenfield, Iowa swap meet with him. He has went to it for 30 years and I never had. I love Iowa and swap meets so of course I said yes. I had a big day at work on Thursday came home and packed my bag and left at midnite and headed north to Lincoln. I picked up Larry just before 4 am and we headed East another 3 hours or so and got there when the event opened. It was cool, windy and rainy but we had a good day all around as buyers and spectators. Saturday we were joined by his buddy Frank (GrouchySS) and Frank's lovely wife "Swap Meet Cindy" and spent day 2 going back thru and buying more cool stuff. This was a small town with rolling hillsides full of corn, soybeans, hayfields, and picturesque countryside. Near the bridges of Madison county area. The county fairgrounds at Greenfield is home to the swap meet and it features neat old buildings and rolling terrain which provide good drainage. I'm going to start posting some of my 100 plus photos to show you what we saw.
