Good to hear your ok...the car can always be repaired.

  4. Sorry to hear about your banged up Deuce.

There are people in Kingman who can make draglinks and tie rods from scratch.
    I know one personally.
A little rattlecan primer and you'd be in good shape going home.

The accident you were involved in is a very common one in Central California.
    Usually with illegal alien drivers.

Drop a wheel off the hard surface, let the car get off the road, panic and steer hard for the road, car gets some bite on the hard surface and launches itself into the other lane with devastating and sad results.

Ya, as I spun down the highway, the thought of rolling over was heavy on my mind, but she stayed on her feet.

The accident report goes to the DPS for some kind of review. The officers said she will most likely be cited later for failure to control her vehicle after.

You mean, you're gonna be graded?

Always say "that Flathead Mike, he's so cool"!

Hell, if that's what it takes to become cool, I reckon I'd rather remain a geek. :)

Mike, glad to hear you personally came out of the accident in good shape. As I am sure you know, it could have been much worse. Hope you can get your rod back together. Having a damaged rod and dealing with insurance companies can be a total bitch, but they have improved over the years.

A couple of years ago I had a young lady decide to turn right out of a turn lane into the side of my 34. Scared the shit out of me, but my wife and I weren't hurt, just shook up. Her insurance after wading through her lies, determine the truth and sent me the check. Hope you have the same good fortune.

Man, that sucks!!! Glad to hear you're not hurt. I had that fear all 6K miles of my trip. You just never know when someone is going to try to kill you. Hope you had Grundy!!

Well, it's been two weeks to the day since my wreck and there is good news.

The claims adjuster came to look at the car last Friday, he basically just copied the estimate that Frank at Premier Frame and Body put together.

The woman who hit me has admitted fault, so her insurance company says they will be sending a check to cover the full estimate.

Repairs have already begun on the car.

I'll be happier when the check is in hand, but so far, things seem to be moving pretty smoothly and quickly.
