My dad is the kind of guy that always does for others and never asks for help in return , he is retired and still has little time for himself , with his friends needing help with various projects and he is with the Vietnam Veterans Association here in Southern West Virginia , he is the leader of the program that does the military funerals for deceased veterans , and he is a seriously avid horse trader...lol , well, at age 65 , finallly , he had obtained one of his "forever cars" a 1956 Chevrolet Belair 2 dr. hdt. , a factory in every way down to the air cleaner...a 265 / pg combo with a 2 bbl carb showing , I think 50-60 k actual miles!!! , this is one of two cars he is wanting to have intill he leaves this world , congratulations dad , you deserve it , and I hope that you and mom enjoy running the wheels off of it!!!!

If he needs any info check out TriFive.com. Everything you'd ever need to know about 55-56-57 Chevys.

The other car he wants is a '67 Chevelle Super Sport , I know it's off topic , but , when he was drafted in '66 , he went in the Army , when he got out , he told me that his buddies 3 of them , bought new cars , one bought a new '67 Impala Super Sport , one bought a '67 Camaro , and the other bought a '67 Chevelle Super Sport , 396 , 4 speed , it had , what he says , a purplish burgandy color , he has been in love with that car every since he can recall , he , BTW , was stationed in Fort Riley in Kansas , he bought a '58 Chevrolet 4 dr belair , and drove that sucker back to WV , only to let his "asshole" brother smack a bridge with the driver's side fender , then tear the tranny out of it , sold it for $30.00

Nice find! I hope your dad enjoys it. I know that after waiting so long, he's probably still in shock!

Way to go to your dad. I know a few guys that when they got out of the service one bought a 68 Camaro BB and still has and another bought a 66or 67 Chevelle and even though he is gone his wife still has it.
