So, tell us about the movie experience. How did you get involved, how were your cars treated, etc ? Don
well the cars got hammered, we were at el mirage where the dust is powder, this was low budget to help freinds, they gave me the 74 nova and a part in the movie for payment...it was hell, but looking back, it was fun i will do another if this one goes...it comes out in september...if you go see it i am the map maker lol...google it, there is a good trailer for it...
Ok so I watched the trailer on YouTube. It's defiantly a movie I will be watching . Looks wild to see your 56 rolling in the desert. Sweet deal nice rides
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=isE9TBaHkJQ hey mods i know it looks like spam but all my cars in the movie are period correct, sorry
I hope you can say you put the custom front end on that Caddy---one of the funniest parts to a movie ever!!
No, we didn't. The studio guys did that. The producer wanted 5 identical cars, all running, all with new upholstery, new batteries, tires, etc. The guy brought us a cap off of a tube of lip balm and said that was the color he wanted. When they were done, he sent a car carrier to pick them up. I was at Warner Brothers a week later and saw the cars. One had the roof and the entire front clip and frame cut off. It was on a trailer, set up for process shots. The hacked off stuff was in a pile. The brand new tires and battery were MIA. Another had the front clip removed, certainly for the International Harvester gag. I imagine they were all scrapped after the film was in the can.

Making movies = Hurry up and wait. I been on a couple of sets, kind of changes how you watch films and TV, but a good experience. Would be cool to get a car in one, for sure!
I just added it to my Netflix DVD que. I will watch it this weekend. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Well, finally received the movie from Netflix. Took FOREVER! Must have very few copies. It was actually a pretty cool movie, and was actually filmed and produced well. I recommend it!
The trailer looked surprisingly well done, to be honest, I was thinking this was some half way done move but it actually looks very watchable. For a minute I thought that one chick was Sandra Bullock...... Gonna have to find it and watch the whole thing. Don
