Ok, as some of you may know, Im a little new here.... But I figured I would post my build thread. lets start from the first day we brought the beautiful car home. sorry bout the picture...
Ok now this is a few weeks later, we got a better camra and we got the car a little further along, now it is sitting on the original model A frame with the original rear axle under it (we already took out the front axle). We we also are using a ford rear end for the mock up of the frame. For the real frame we are using a original ford 4'' drop axle
Haha now for the frame!!!!! Dont have build pics of the frame but I have Pictures of it finished so... Here it goes
This kid is only 14 building a hotrod of his own....give him a break. He's already been given the ra$%od advise on his intro. Keep us posted on the build kid!
well on second thought in thoughs pictures its not finished, and the boxs are on there for the waight of the motor... haha well after a while of welding and squaring everything up... We brought the frame home!!We had to do it somewhere else (not enough room in our shop) So here is what it looks like at this point
Umm I was a little unclear with my intro... Im only helping on this build, its a partner thing with My dad, mom and me. You are right though I can do a little welding and I can do some metal work, patches. I can paint most things with a rattle can. I can do a little motor work but nothing to much... But yes I am only 13
Now we did a little bit of patch work. Pictures on that later. But here is were we are at now. Here is the parts car we are using. A 1981 chevy El Camino with a 327 SB bigger cam aluminum intake and valves and holley 4 barrel carb. Pictures later
When i was thirteen i was riding a skateboard and wishing my dad would let me in the garage, I showed interest but my dad was all about himself and his friends
Hey man, we're all here to learn. Nobody knows everything (although, you'll find some people think they do) So just hang around and you'll be amazed with what you can learn on the HAMB. When I was 13...damn, that was 10 years ago and I don't even know what I was into...but it wasn't building my own hotrod! Good luck, keep us posted.

Shit kid, you're already ahead of me; I don't know how to post big pictures or videos. Good luck with the build.
Haha. Thanks man! Guess what I found yesterday on the H.A.M.B, 2 1927 Model T coupes (like the one My FAMILY is building) for $300, Oh ya not to mention its only 3 hours from where we are at, but we dont have any thing to pick 'em up with...
That's super cool you're doing your car with your pops...You'll appreciate it even more when you're older. Looks like you're off to a great start, thanks for the updates! Edit: cute cat!
Thanks! Kinda bussy for the next two weekends so I dont know that there will be many more updates for thoughs two weeks.
Mike, Keep an eye on your local Craigslist. Best to buy local if you can then you can check it out first. T's looking good!
Congrats on some nice rides I wish I could have started as young as you unfortunately I was pushing a skate board when I should have been pushing a welder..
