There was about 30 sec of my saying should I cut them or should I not cut them should I cut them should I not cut them. Then I said fuck it and cut them no turning back now.

I used a cut off wheel and just took my time with a little grinding with a roloc and then a hand file they look like they were made that way. They come out very nice just need to take your time on somthing like this. I paid good money for these lights so no need to rush.

SO COOL! You have a shot with one side done and the other stock? I'd love to see the comparison. Love that body style... beautiful even stock.

Packard lights in a Buick look nice. What other changes do you
have planned? I did only one change on mine( chopped the top)
Here's a photo of a Roadmaster with Packard with backup lights.
    Keep up the good work.---TwoChops

There is some funky shapes next to them lights and the deck lid almost looks like the lights are farther in then the deck lid hard to tell in the pix

This is the only thing I have planed right now other then taking off the speical off the trunk I may end up shaving off the door handles and using Lincoin push buttons

LOL, I guess great minds thing alike.

No reverse lights and Lincoln buttons... :D I debated the Packard lights and even had a set of the other style that I was gonna use. Like these.

But then went with the lenses in the stock lights.

You're definitely heading down the path to having a righteous ride. Lookup coolhand here on the hamb for some buttons.

  19. Looks really good!!! I love Buicks and Packard taillights. Put them together and you have a perfect combination!

Great job. Can't wait to see the finished product.

I think the reflections on twochops's shiny paint are confusing your perception. Nice work, donut29.

Ok they are not done but I have been bizzy with work so work on the buick has slowed down. I still have one peace to make and weld in and still have to grind it all down. But this will show you guys how I did it

Looks great man, love those three window back ends. Love the green 57 posted with his mods as well. My buddy's Mom had a four door hardtop we cruised as kids, very hip cars. Rock on. ~Sololobo~

Very cool - thanks for the step by step. This is on my list of things to do to the '55 Special I just traded for. The previous owner molded the original tail light housings in, looks OK but the Packards look right at home on the Buick.

    Now to find some housings...
