  4. Awesome find. I saw the '49 in your photo at a show here in Australia a coupe of years ago and fell in love with it. Cracking car! Loved it so much I ended up inmporting a '49 Caddy Club Coupe,...unfortunately it will be a few years before it looks as good as the one in the picture :)

I see no one has mentioned the critical event in this saga. Namely, your son spotted the car. Bravo, for raising your kid in the state of mind to be on the lookout for these jewels 24/7. When my kid was growing up he could name any car on the road and most times he knew all of the options available on any particular model.

    I love survivors!

I'd wash it and get it roadworthy and other than that wouldn't touch a thing on it.

That looks like a very solid old car. Quality built too. You can keep that one for life.
    Take good care of her.

  19. Buick seem to have the knack of producing a few great classics.
That, my friend, is one of the best.
Looking forward to seeing it all clean and shiny ..

Kudos to you for a great score!

Bigger kudos to your son for having the wherewithal to recognize it and tell you!!! Go buy that boy an ice cream sundae....or just give him the 55! haha

Love that car, especially the steering wheel. Go with veeeery simple mods an it will look even more killer. Just a little lowering, skirts and you are done.

That's the right one to have. It's crying for some sympathetic kustom touches, but I can't wait to see it all washed up and polished. Good for you and for your son, good lookin out.
