I had a '55 Fairlane Club Sedan back in the 80s. I love the way they look. Keep us posted! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using H.A.M.B. mobile app
Yes it is. Belonged to a friend. He had it for about 5 years. It has a 57 312 out of a tbird. When he got it the motor and trans had just been rebuilt put in the car and that was it. I traded him a old rail buggy for it straight up. Hope to have it in white primer by Columbus Goodguys.
You should start hanging out here too ! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/social-forums/1952-59-ford-social-group.282/
Great! Those cars looked great nosed and deck; and it was very common practice on those early to mid fifties fords. Have you ever seen a bullnose made from a template from the bottom of the hood ornament. The bullnose would only cover the surface area where the hood ornament was. It looks real good and would be really unique. I have seen only a few applications like that, and looks totally custom.
Nose and deck it with a tube grille, Mercury station wagon taillights, chrome reverse wheels, cut a coil out of the front springs and you will be back in 1962 again.
It has smoothies on it. Going to lower with spacers. If I had the money I would do the merc lights. Amd eventually maybe tube grille. On a budget still finishing the wifes tuff tub buggy. Got to keep her happy.
A little progress. I know I am not going to have it ready for Good Guys. So I decided to just scallop it in white primer.
And then the hood. Need to finish the left side of the car. Then scallop them. Liking the way it is coming out
