Here's the latest pics of my completed chassis for my Vicky. The body is painted car gets assembled this week.

I also included pics of the Autometer gauges that I had refaced by Redline Gauge Works, to look like '57 T-Bird gauges.

More pics to come as it gets assembled. KK

    They're are from the White Wall Candy Store and they're 235-60 X 15 on 15 X 8 rear and 205-65 X 15 with 15 X 7's in front.

The rims are true chrome reversed wheels with '49-'56 Ford centers set in reversed Buick outters the rears were widened from 7 to 8 inches.

I found an old guy in Southgate, that's been building them since 1964. He's good but man the old kat's slow on delivery, it only took a year and a half to get them done.

If you look you'll see the 45 degree bevel on the rims.

Years ago when you Emailed me the concept drawing, I believe my reply was
that car needed to be built. Congrats on your soon to be finished Vicky. I
was excited to hear about your build & cannot wait to see the final
assembly. Keep the faith brother and don't get down during the last days of the build.

I was wondering what you had up your sleeve with the wheels.
Its all about the details. The car is going to be real KOOL!!!

    Thanks for keeping us posted.

    Happy Trails,

    Mick

Thanks Mick, Haven't heard from you in awhile. Here's some pics taken today after we set the body back on the chassis.

We hope to have most of it finished this week. The car's entered in the Grand National Roadster Show. So we're under the gun.

You're right it's a '56 Ford dash pod which is almost identical to a '57 T-Bird pod. The T-Bird gauges have a tach, and a 140 MPH speedo.

Yeah, Jack painted it on Friday. I'm lending them a hand with the assembly, because of the time crunch. The pics really don't do it just. The color is Du Pont's Hot Hues custom finish called Purple Rapsody.

It's got alot of pearl in it, so it changes colors alittle bit when you look at it from different angles.

Thanks for the compliments it means alot, KK

Keith-I stopped by Starlite earlier today just to see the car. It looks really, really great. The ford logo on the wrap around seat in the back is a nice touch!

That's one of the few things I did besides the motor and the dash myself. I hand carved the V from a piece of aluminum, and the crest is from a '55 T-Bird. Thanks for the compliment. KK
