My 54 Caddy flat spot

on acceleration just on pull away, light medium throttle
any one got any ideas

I had the same issue on our Olds and it turned out that my accelerator pump cup in the carb had disintegrated rendering it useless and leaving me with a flat spot that sounds similar to what you describe. I had used an NOS kit for the rebuild and the cup had become brittle over time. I always use NEW kits now...
