Thanks. Ya I think the body/floors are 52. Front end and chassis are 54. So your right with both posts. Haha
Anywhere that might produce noise, crevices, and small areas of dead space. If it's not an easily accessible spot that won't need to be accessed for any reason, use spray foam. For any any area that you might need to access, use batting. It's any spot that might make a sound.I did my 58 that way and you couldn't smell gas fumes, either.Made my girlfriend at that time very happy
Spark plugs wired up I found some mistakes with my wiring under the dash from the first time so I fixed them as I was re-wiring for the trunk mounted solenoid and battery. It's getting close to being able to fire up. I'll have the drive shaft on Monday. I have to have my radiator cleaned and modified still. I'm hoping I'll make it to Santa Maria.
I did some body work and got the fenders in primer today. I have a little more blocking to do then its time for paint.
Definitely. Still trying to bust my ass to finish it soon, (I'd like to be able to drive it to Santa Maria) but I'm not taking any shortcuts either.
I hope you make it,but if you don't,you have the satisfaction of knowing(and the pictures to prove it)that it was a job well done.I'm impressed.
Nothing like hearing them startup for the first time. The fan not turning messed me up until I noticed no belt on the pulley. You are doing a great job and I'm enjoying the ride towards completion.
I got all my parts in paint today. Thanks again to rockinrivi for letting me use your space. They aren't perfect, and there are spots that I wish I would have spent more time on, but I think once they are in the car it probably won't be to noticeable.
Excellent indeed. Your car is one of my favorites. It's progressing nicely. Keep it up! Sent from my SM-G900R4 using H.A.M.B. mobile app
Thank you so much guys. This weekend I got the speedo cable cut to length, filled the trans with fluid, installed the upper and lower shift boots, adjusted the clutch and painted the inside of the roof with por15. Also picked up all my front end parts so those will be getting assembled this week. It feels really good to know that i could be driving it again soon. this was by far the biggest job I've bitten off at one time.
Man!! Looking good and sounding good , wish I could wrench on my Vic.. Following your build has helped me get by.
It really feels like it's coming together fast now. I got the inner fenders and radiator support installed today and all my wires ran through the inner conduit. I'm glad I did that. I like having a clean engine bay.
