I just picked this thread up, and all I have to say is Anderson, Mr Locker did not waste any of his time on you brother, you have some mad fab skills on the sheet metal! Keep up the great work, it's looking great.

  5. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1432084287.338221.jpg made new mounts for the floor with probably the worst tig welds ever. Turns out welding wile laying on your stomach is quite difficult.

  6. That'll buff right out. Looks good to me. Carry on!

Stuff happens, but it seems not that often with you. Keep grinding man, maybe the weld too.

Despite being a holiday, sleeping in late,a massive thunder storm, tornados, flooding, being without power for four hours and a small nap. I did manage to get my floor sealed and primed. Got the body mounted permanent.

Looking great...., man not much left of what you started with!

  17. True. The body is Probably only 30% of the original metal

  18. With the weather down there you might not want to bolt it to the frame just yet. Maybe need to use it as a motor boat. They don't have weather like that in long beach.

  19. No kidding the rain in California compares nothing to Texas. Yesterday we had 6 to 11 inches of rain in six hours. 11 tornadoes and something Like 12,000 lightning strikes. In the seven years I've lived here this is not the worst I've seen. One year we had 15 inches of rain in 12 hours. Luckily I live on a hill so at least were safe from flooding. The amazing thing is the people in Texas are not even phased by it. A light mist in longbeach and the whole world go's into panic mode.

Got to play a little mock up today for inspiration.
Just about time to start block sanding.
Opinion. Do you think I should chop the windshield another inch and a half?. I can't decide it's already pretty small.

  21. It's hard to believe this was a two door sedan. Imagine how cool it would be if I actually knew what I was doing

Don't chop the windscreen anymore, if you do it will be out of balance with the body height. Right now it has the ideal custom roadster look. You have done an amazing job on your recreation.
Best regards and good luck with all your endeavors, KB.

So I dug out my running boards and mounted them. Not in horrible shape. But definitely in need of some love. Need to be blasted and recovered. Might just be Easier to make new ones. Rubber or no rubber?

  30. Rubber baby buggy bumpers. Say it out loud ten times. I think you'll figure it out, without us tongue tied yahoos holding you up. You're the king !
