Looks great Gav, it is great to see a Hot Rod that you build get improved by the new owner,it has come a long way & nothing you've done I would not have done too, you have excellent taste . Thanks for carrying the torch to the next level , enjoy the old girl like you have been. Steve
Gavin, Just to prove it ..................(stolen from elswhere ) Cool looking PU, i like what you've done with it, NEC .....? Keith
Tires are 7.50's on the rear with 5.50's up front. The front of the frame where it has been shortened just behind the grill shell is around 11 inches off the deck. Rear frame horns are around 15 inches. Keith, yep will be at the NEC. Lucky enough to have been asked to represent the VHRA.
Gavin, me too, sounds like we've become outcasts from the NSRA !...... see you Thursday for set up....... Keith . .
UKgav, Love the PU! I like the wires as well, and the color is great. I would have liked the Yosemite sign as well. But great job taking it to the next level!
STOP THE PRESS... Ran a 17.8 @ 75mph today Been trying to run a 17 for a while. Not exactly quick but not bad for an old 21 stud. Here is some on board footage I took earlier in the year when I was running 20 second quarters! Man that seems slow now
I too have liked that truck since I first saw it at CHRR a number of years ago. You have made some nice changes. Do you have any pics with the 35 wires and the full hood on? Neal
Yep, here you go. It's a close call as to which I prefer, hood on or hood off. and a brief glimpse as I lead the cavalcade of rods at Prescott hill climb a couple of months back.
Very nice job! I love the before and after pictures. The holes in the visor are cool, the color fits very well.
