Been working on this 32 roadster project for a couple of years now, getting close to final mock up. I be posting more detailed pics of the build, have lots of them, moving foward. I new to the H.A.M.B. and hope the pictures load ok.

Ok. That didn't go well. I tried to post a few pictures with text but didn't load correctly. I'm new at this so I'll try again.

Looks great, it feels good to see one come together after a long time in the works.

  11. You know when you post pictures people are going to comment and ask question right?

So... I have a couple. The engine looks to be set high, is there a reason for that? Also, the sector for the steering box looks a long way back in the cowl, what's the story there?

I see you have no shortage of equipment!

My guess is there is a lot of movement of chassis and body components to get everything to sit so low. Bob

Yes the engine is setting high, the bottom of the oil pan is level with the bottom of the frame rail. I did this because the car sits very low for a highboy, and I hate worrying about bottoming out and it fills the engine compartment nicely. The sterring is a Schroeder box on a Pinkies mounting setup, it is a nice setup when combined with there swing pedal setup.

It's a 327 that on the outside is a correct 67 corvette 327/350 horse but all good stuff on the inside. Hyd roller, roller rockers etc.[IMG][IMG]

Yes, frame kick up in the rear, front spring behind the axel. I started with a Shadow Rods frame, great piece, and modified it a little.

The paint will be a very dark satin blue on a black frame. The interior will be a rubber floor with a custom seat built by Dean Alexander at the East Coast Hotrod Garage, he did the seat in my last car and it was of the charts comfortable.

Really cool looking roadster. How many degrees have you leaned the windshield back? I'm thinking of doing something similar with my roadster.

This is what I started with, a Shadow Rods frame which they call thier medium height chassis. I gave it the riveted construction look to kill time as I was trying to sell my coupe you see in the background to finance the 32.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

It's a Rodwell windshield, check out www.roadsters.com for info.

Beautiful! Love what I'm seeing so far! Any more pictures of the rear radius rods? Looks very well thought out- sway bar mounts and shock mounts incorporated?

The front and rear radius rods are Shadow Rods pieces. The sway bar mounts I made connecting a modified 40 ford front sway bar to the rear.[IMG][IMG]

I know this may sound odd coming from me but having a NASA/NASCAR type shop does have its advantages. Are there plans to enter this car in the GNRS? Every part is artwork. Bob
