    Cool story and great pics!

Reminds me of being 14 yrs old and working at the Dog n Suds drive-in all summer to buy an old worn out 1955 F100, my first ride.

45 years later, I still dream of what could have been if I had been more experienced or patient.

Looking forward to the updates on your '32.

  6. The nice thing about doing a '32 now is that everything you could ever need is being reproduced now. I have been going through the car and if there is a part missing , it is available.... new, still expensive but a part here and a part there and maybe it will look something like this in a few years...
Thanks again fellows, for your comments !!!

Brilliant Story Ron, I hope I never see my 1st car again :) but if it was a Deuce Coupe, that would be a different story ;) .Unfortunately there were not many steel 32's when I grew up in England.

Well done again, almost full circle my friend

  12. Gees , I wish Miss Tilden, my grade 11 English teacher (twice..lol), could have read these kind comments regarding the story. It's too bad that these little old high school teachers form the fifties, didn't tune into our passions, with their assignments.

I agree with all the rest what a great story and that second picture thats the coolest thing yet. Seams as though the two of you still have a lot of magic left to share. I can only imagine what your wife must think.

  16. tnich...Thanks for your kind words ! My wife said to me after the Ghost Rider Roadster project was finished that I was done and now it was her turn to get a new kitchen....which she deserves as I have been pretty much a pig when it comes to projects. When the lady called about the car she left a message on our answering machine. The long and short of it was that since the car was special to me...my wife consented. What a dear !!!! We will just have to work in that kitchen renovation sooner than later, don't you think ?

  17. Very cool story. I have a friend who bought his 32 three window when he was 15. He still has it and he is 75! I sold my primo $75 Model A when I went in the Army in 1960. I paid a lot more for the one I have now! You are a lucky SOB.

The majority of coupes from this area ,ended their days at our local half mile dirt track back in the 50's. I have no idea how this one missed all the fun...lol. Just glad it did !!! Your friend was a very smart 15 year old . I guess if you aren't smart , you can get by being a lucky SOB...:D
    Thanks, Ron

  25. Great story! I am fortunate to still have my first car, since 1958, and am now building it again. Such cars are filled with great memories. Congratulations.
