Cool build.. Cool motor.. Cool car...
Great looking build, forge on! Perfect engine selection! Yes I can see why you might be biased
People ask me why not put a v8 in it I say why put a v8 in it
What every you do don't listen to those people. Continue on, building your car your way! Great choice for a power plant. Great build all around, really like it! Can't wait to see it finished.
Good for you!
I'm building a 1925 Acme and I want a small engine, but everyone is hounding me to put some undriveable big engine in it... Or they all say 350... not going to happen.
Very cool car, I love the drive line choice! The exhaust came out killer, nice work!
Jesse coots at old soul hot rods did the exhaust
FRAME IS PAINTED!!!!!!! Frame has color and clear on it just needs the front section cut and buffed and I can start to assemble it. Comes home Sunday body should be getting blasted next week so that can get going in the mean time I will get the rolling chassis completed. I'm finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel
Color close up
Frame is home assembly can begin
One step forward two steps back man this thing is wearing me down
Rough day but the front end is in
Got car dustless blasted today body is better than I thought only took them 1 1/2 hours to do the body trunk lid hood and grill shell
Sweet! Wow that thing looks clean! Is that primed or just the water from the blasting?
No primer yet that is just after they blasted
Nice car, keep the fenders.
Chassis is looking good!
Fenders are never going back on
nice progress and the pace =)
All in prime picking it up tomorrow to take it home and finish up making holes where they need to be and then off to paint in December
... Awesome, just absolutely, totally bad-ass.
Yeah Chris looking great!
Thanks Jess I'm moving along but little problems are slowing things down but I am addressing them and moving forward
Frame is together just have to bend up brake lines should have engine and trans in next weekend
Keep on truckin' man. I know it feels like the little things may be getting in the way, but I see great things happening. Forge on.
Got the engine and trans in the frame today
Made the grill insert today I used some stainless interweave lock crimp mesh it is a dead on match to the original insert in the opening size and wire diameter. I was worried that it would unravel as I cut it but it held together fine
This week I hope to get the trunk and underside of the body primed and put the bedliner on the underside then it is all ready to go for paint as soon as my spot opens up at the painters
I picked up a sheet of that mesh for my 31 Pontiac as well, mine was industrial shaker screen from the oilfield.
I got mine from a place called Pennsylvania wire works a 4x4 piece was 65.00 shipped only issue I had was they rolled it up to fit I a smaller box so I had to run it through some rollers to flatted it out. I thought I might have to pollish it but it looks great as is
