My 1st paint job. No bondo, no primer, just clear coat. Can this be fixed?

You could just brush paint it with Rustoleum

Looks like you buffed the clear out too much? How would you wash it? Was it a barn find?

My buddy, Dar did exactly the same thing! He sprayed primer over it before it disappeared completely..

 

The answer is CLEAR to see. I'll be here all week. Lippy

 

You need to prep it correctly to achieve the best possible finish

 

To answer your original question, YES. Remember, if you're using urethane you'll need to completely de-trim the vehicle before painting.

 

I would spray myself with that paint, invisible man anyone?

Not trying to be the know it all... ok maybe a little. That clear car was featured at the 39 world fair. Fair was held in new York that year. Also, the world fair was in California in 39. The next time the world fair was in New York was 1964. Ok back to....
