My 1st paint job. No bondo, no primer, just clear coat. Can this be fixed?

    You could just brush paint it with Rustoleum :D

  4. I just re-read this thread and noticed I sounded like a total A hole when I posted this back in 2011. Thought I was being funny at the time, but now I just think I'm an idiot.

    Looks like you buffed the clear out too much? :) How would you wash it? Was it a barn find?

  13. My buddy, Dar did exactly the same thing! He sprayed primer over it before it disappeared completely.. dars40.jpg

  16. To answer your original question, YES. Remember, if you're using urethane you'll need to completely de-trim the vehicle before painting.

  19. Not trying to be the know it all... ok maybe a little. That clear car was featured at the 39 world fair. Fair was held in new York that year. Also, the world fair was in California in 39. The next time the world fair was in New York was 1964. Ok back to....

    If you fill the inside up with nude women,you'll get enough finger prints on the out side to see were your painting !
