Here is what I started with. 2 inch gaps on both side and 2 inches of extra metal I had to cut out to ge to the orginal lip size of 4 inches behind the window.
IMG_1551.JPG IMG_1731.JPG Finish product! No more gaps and fits like a glove. Took out that ugly a$$ license plate holder and all the 1x1tubing and did it the correct way just have to do all the finishing touches and we can close the book on the trunk. Man was this a mess to start with! IMG_1772.JPG IMG_1691.JPG IMG_1739.JPG

IMG_1775.JPG Once, the trunk was done and the firewall flipped I can now put in the motor mounts. Here is the final product with Biscuit Style Mounts. IMG_1777.JPG IMG_1779.JPG IMG_1780.JPG

Dirty30_TransMount (24).jpg Now that the motor is in. Made a trans mount of scrap that I had laying around. Made it out of 2x2 tubing. Went a little overboard on this one, but why not. Made it so it can bolt it in and out of the frame. Ended up capping the ends as well to make it look a little sharper. IMG_1787.JPG IMG_1799.JPG IMG_1801.JPG

Welding the top back in and its actually fitting pretty good. Getting some glass made so we can weld it flush without using to much silicone. Putting in new header as well!

Finished welding in the back corner, then started back in on the front of the body. Took apart the original windshield and the cut the 45-degree angle 6 inches shorter and works like a glove. Also got the visor cut about a half an inch so it will fit with the chop. Now its time to start on the door and the chop will be complete. Using a TIG welder to get the best results. Chop is now done and the doors fit great. The body was off about 1/4 of an inch and had to fix that as well. You can't even see the lines inside or out. Looks like it came factory from Henry Ford himself. Next, we are going to lift the body off the chassis and focus solely on the chassis itself. Crate 290 motor is being delivered today connected with a T5 tranny and Ford 9 inch rear end. Stay tuned

Just mounted the crate 290-350 motor in the chassis. Planning on using this Fenton Manifold and Tri-power setup with GM Rochester's. Comes with a 50,000 miles warranty from Chevy haha.

210 Hobart. Its been great and never gives me any trouble. I mostly use the 210 and not the 110. You should get one.

Bought a World Class T5 and took it apart to see what the damage is. Had to replace the synchros and went with graphite this time. Overall it was not in that bad of shape. She is all cleaned up now and ready to install. IMG_0753.jpg IMG_0757.jpg

Made my own sub floor, so now we have to weld in the rear end with some sheet metal to keep the draft out. Planning on driving across the country and need to make sure I'm not dealing with shit like that.

Rebuilt the 2G's just to make sure everything was ok, they were already rebuilt but I didn't trust them. Going on a Fenton IMG_0919.jpg IMG_0921.jpg IMG_0923.jpg IMG_0924.jpg IMG_0925.jpg IMG_0948.jpg tri-power manifold.

Got to work on installing the aluminum Fenton manifold. Used #1204 felpro gaskets which are a little softer and cork valley seals. Tightened them up to about 25 ftlbs. Still deciding on the carb covers. Have another set getting delivered out of Australia!!!! Should be here in two weeks or so.
