Must of rode like shit when you took it for a ride and the tires were flat most of the time.:rolleyes: Very cool car. I really like the color combo with the poverty caps and red lines. If it was mine I would keep that look and what one other poster said, put in a 4 speed.
That's one of my favorite cars, the 63 1/2 fastback. I had one a few years back. It was a bench seat, 390, 3x2, 4-speed car and went like hell. Sorry I ever sold the thing.

Really nice find. It amazes me with all the shit giving about the 'barn' part. Is that part really that important to the masses here? Barn, garage, field, woods, basement, WGAF? A cool find is a cool find to me. I know the term is mis & over used, but damn give the guy a break. Here's a tip, if you're looking only in barns, you're gonna miss a lot of great 'finds'. Never knew anybody to pass on a great find because it wasn't in a barn. What a bunch of bullshit..

  5. Nice find. Always liked the 63

My granddad back in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia (Potato Creek community, right between Fox Knob and Turkey Knob) had a '46 Dodge Pickup and a '54 Dodge Coronet. Neither of them were kept in the barn. He kept cows and hay and tobacco and horse collars and stuff like that in there. The vehicles stayed out in the weather where sun and rain destroyed them

Anyway, cool Galaxie. A man down the street from me when I was a kid had a 63 1/2 Galaxie in that light lavender color. I like yours better, really cool, great find.

Boulevard Brewing makes some pretty darn good beer.

Nice car, Tin. Don't worry too much about the shit over the "barn find" moniker. They're right, its not really one, but the car is cool so thanks for posting it up. ;)

The popularity of the "barn find" goes directly to the desire everyone has to be special. Sort of like being the kid in 3rd Grade who saves the city from burning down. Sort of like the ordinary guy who winds up screwing Britney Spears and having his face plastered all over the news.

Everyone wants to be special but hardly anyone really is.

When I drive my Model A to the gas station I have had people come up and say things like "nice dune buggy" of "cool rat rod" I don't spend the next 1/2 hour telling them how they got it wrong. I tell them thank you and then answer any questions they may have. I really like the Ford and wish I had found it. Cool car

That is a really really cool car but I agree you probably shouldn't called it a barn find. I also agree with the guy that was happy it wasn't a 4 door.
