Nicely done so far ... I'm impressed.

I too am in the mix of a unfinished project that someone else started. You, sir, are an inspiration.

    Thank you.

I really like the look of your hard lines. They show great attention to detail. But would have to concur with the previous statements about them being mounted straight to the body. They will flex, but eventually that will fatigue the metal and they will crack.
If you look in my albums there are some pictures of a few hard line setups I've done on 3x2 and 4x2 intakes.
I assume you are running an electric fuel pump. If that's the case, one idea would be to mount your regulator on the mechanical fule pump block off. And have your feed line come up from the front of the engine to the fuel block.with just a short piece of flexible line from the frame to the regulator. Just my 0.2
    Keep up the good work.

Nice save, I was a bit worried after the first pics but it's turning out real good.

  12. 13,000 post and questioning ALL CAPITAL LETTERS on his post ? Ya trying to catch up to ZMan ? Ha. Also, love your truck.

Nice work Ole rodder and nice documentary.

    Yupp to Mexican food Saturday.......

  13. Funny.... Kept the suspense going didn't I? Ha ha

Hind sight I paid $4k for a not so great body, tube axle I wouldn't have gone with and the damn coil springs and the wide ass rear end that now needs 2 1/2" removed off each side. Looks like G.D. Training wheels from the back. That's why no back photos. Should of run, but I look at it as I saved it from becoming another rat rod.

Very nice! Glad you went a different direction than what it was when you bought it.

I know others have said it but please, get the hard lines off of the firewall. I've already watched one car burn to the ground because of that kind of stuff.

  24. Very nice build. You've added some great custom touches to the car. I'm really interested in those guages. I would love to find a set for my '39. Are they restored or new old stock?

  25. thanks... I use Pro/Engineer

  26. restored by Morris Gauges, look thru my friends list for them, they have a website as well. Honestly I probably have more in them and the headlights than I do in my motor, not one of my smartest moves....
