Is the S10 4x4 rear end the same width as stock? or did you have to run spacers for the wheels or change the width of the rear end?

They're pretty much same as stock. 60" drum to drum if I remember correctly. No spacer necessary

OK, got the air ride dialed in for height. I know some guys are gonna give me shit for making it not completely lay frame, but I wanted to set it up that in case of a complete failure I can still drive it safely off the freeway. Its still badass low in my opinion, but we'll see what the peanut gallery has to say.
I have Curt Hill from Hill's Rod and Custom doing the floors for me now since I am slammed and have a baby on the way in 4 weeks. More pics to follow as that gets done!

nice project but I have to ask. why did you go so large on the step notch. (looks like when all the way down you have several inches between the rearend and top of the notch. could you have made it alittle shorter to minimize the step in the trunk or is there a reason I am missing

I used the Gambino Notch kit, and that's just the way its set up. I do have more room, but I am choosing to set mine up a little different that most.

Im doing my 54 the same way! I figure the extra space will give me room for a larger bumpstop. My truck is crazy low without bags and the thought of hittng the ground and losing control bothers me. I may add bags to it to someday. But the car I knew for sure I wouldnt want it it to hit. I applaud you for thinking of it too!

Thanks Meddler! Of course I woke up in the middle of the night and figured out how I could design a removeable bump stop in the rear so that I can lay body back there if I want, but have a safety stop for the drive home. Now I gotta get in there and see if it will work.

Couldn't get them to look perfect. They are close, but without reshaping the quarter and peaking it, they would never look right on the car. In the end, I went for a simpler, cleaner look.

Thanks to Curt from Hill's Rod and Custom, the floors are getting done. My wife is due in 3 weeks, so I am having to sub some stuff out to get progress moving! It will definitely go low enough in the rear now!

More floor progress and fenderwell progress. My favorite part is the cool idea Curt came up with to access the front of the upper 4-bar mount. The little end cap will have some weatherstrip on it and bolt in. Way trick.

    Managed to sneak away and spend the day with Curt today. We kicked the crap out of the floors, got the bridge cover done, made a patch panel for under the trim where it was all rusty. Tons of work, but its REALLY close to done (well the floors anyway)<table style="width:auto;"><tbody><tr><td>[IMG]</td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From Mar 14, 2012 FLOORS</td></tr></tbody></table><table style="width:auto;"><tbody><tr><td>[IMG]</td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From Mar 14, 2012 FLOORS</td></tr></tbody></table><table style="width:auto;"><tbody><tr><td>[IMG]</td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From Mar 14, 2012 FLOORS</td></tr></tbody></table><table style="width:auto;"><tbody><tr><td>[IMG]</td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From Mar 14, 2012 FLOORS</td></tr></tbody></table><table style="width:auto;"><tbody><tr><td>[IMG]</td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From Mar 14, 2012 FLOORS</td></tr></tbody></table><table style="width:auto;"><tbody><tr><td>[IMG]</td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From Mar 14, 2012 FLOORS</td></tr></tbody></table><table style="width:auto;"><tbody><tr><td>[IMG]</td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From Mar 14, 2012 FLOORS</td></tr></tbody></table><table style="width:auto;"><tbody><tr><td>[IMG]</td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From Mar 14, 2012 FLOORS</td></tr></tbody></table><table style="width:auto;"><tbody><tr><td>[IMG]</td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From Mar 14, 2012 FLOORS</td></tr></tbody></table>

More work on the trunk. Curt made the other fill piece for the drivers side belt line corner. In addition, we decided to tackle the beltline trim. The main pieces needed to be re-shaped. Curt has mad skillz with with stainless, so I figured we oughta get it done. The killer was the Pontiac shark fins. We had to slice them to get them to fit right (I think they were 4-door fins..) but they worked out pretty damned nice.
Curt let me play with all his toys and make access panels and whatnot for the trunk, I am really happy with the way they are coming out.

Some more pics of the trim that Curt tweaked. The Poncho pieces I got must have been for a 4 door, so they turned up at the end. No sweat, he said, we'll relief cut it, tig it up and grind/polish it. Umm, Ok...let's see...Well, they look freakin awesome.
We got all the floors finished up and hooked the air back up. Now I think its low enough...Like draggin the frame low!

Picked up the car from Curt's today, got it home and took some pics of the new stance. Then, because I can't rest, I decided to cut out the passenger quarter and rough in the new EMS panel. It worked out pretty well, but the seam weld portion at the bottom of the fender doesn't line up with the rocker seam. Not sure what thats about, but maybe EMS will chime in here.

    qoute:::

Not sure what thats about, but maybe EMS will chime in here.

this isssue has been covered in a lot of threads, best to call us when you have a problem even a minor one, as we can advise on the tips and tricks to get the stuff in.

even if you bought it from a dealer we will help as the resellers are not very good at this responding to tech questions.
