Long story short, I have a jalopy.
1940 Ford pickup truck in terrible shape. I'm looking to get it running but I don't know where to start. The only thing that will be original about this truck is the cab. Any advice is appreciated!

  3. I'm looking at the forward mount of the top bar at the rear, attached to the frame rail. Whoever did that is clueless. It's 90* wrong. How the hell is that supposed to pivot?

Which throws a cloud of doubt over the whole thing.

The whole build style is now a cliché, you will find plenty of examples here. Search under 'Rudy truck.'
