Man both of your cars are amazing, I love to see how you guys in Europe build things!
Thanks for your replys. Heres a few pics from today when I had my two cars out so I was able to do some serious cleaning of the garage.
Awesome. This is the best era of GM car design I think.
I totally agree with you Aaron!
Filler primer and blocksanding
Its time to go in to paint booth.
Start with skirts and front fender extensions.
Its finally time to paint my Olds. Choosing a color is hard to say the least but I managed to come out with this Cayenne orange. Its a metallic with pearl so it looks more of red when inside my garage and more to burnt orange when out in sunlight.
Finally done and time to drive her home.
Back home again and started to bring back all the shiny stuff
Now thats the kind of update I like to see! Looks great man.
Man, Per, that's some big progress!!! wish a happy new year, Olds look soo cool!!!!
Ooooohhhh Dang!!!!! I dig that color!!!!!!!!!!
Looking VERY nice, love the color.
Thanks Carsten and Happy New Year
Wow, looking real nice!
Wow that color came out great!
I have a 47 chevy but I like your Olds. Thats quite a build in a short time. Seems a lot of us are picking shades of maroons or reds. I had all my trim redone and polished. I do like the gas door on the Olds rear fender. I put a Hagen one on the right side of the Chevy. Wish I put on the bumper/license plate over-ride but we Frenched in my plate. I still have to figure out my hood the gap isn't correct and the powder coated hignes appear to be my problem.
What a difference, WOW.
She looks bitchen dude, colour looks sick.
I like the look with no fadeaways !!!!!!!!!!!
Orn, looks great!! Was the suspension on the back a set that you bought?? Or did you make it yourself?? Trying to work out how I will do it at my chevy.... please let me know!
Ivar, these Olds models have a trailing arm setup from factory with open driveline and coil springs so I just remove the trailingarms and brackets from the stock rear axle and welded them on the Caprice rear after I set the pinion angel in my preferred ride height. I understand that you have the stock drivetrain in yours with the closed driveline so I suppose your choice will be either go with a 4 link or trailingarm setup.
Orn, that's right! I have the stock drivetrian. Thinking about making a trailingarm setup but still in doubt! I was reading about the 4 link but a lot of people say I need a lot of cutting in my floor! Well, first finish the front... then the back! When I have more questions I will send a PM maybe you could help me out then!?!? Thanks anyway!! And keep up the good work! Cheers!
One more with some shiny stuff
I wondered what was missing, the door caps Again it looks awesome
Thanks! Yes they on their way together with viper towers, door handled, window trim etc.
Damn...you've got 2 bad ass rides there! That color was perfect!
Fantastic, very inspiring!
I'm jealous I think I need and Olds & Pontiac to round out the Chevy.
Great work. Subscribed!
Gonna be perfect !
Another job well done Orn
